Flash,  lights, camera , action. February 22, 1994  I  Keliann  was  born. I knew I  wanted to model since I was in my   moms belly. I   posed and   smiled  in the sonogram  as  if  it was  my very  own   runway.  I  was  born  in  Arecibo, Puerto  Rico  and  always  had  an ambition   to  become  successful   in  the  field   of modeling. I    came to  Florida  at just three months old and by the age  of    three    I began   to model. I   would always perform for my  family    being that I  had  four brothers and no  sister  I was always   babied.

On April twentieth I went to an  Hispanic Business and Consumer Expo  where I heard about Miss Mundo  and  I  immediately knew  that  this was the   perfect  opportunity for  me to show  my   skills and  make  my dream of   becoming  a model a reality. In  may my  first rehearsal for Miss Mundo was  the  second  most  wonderful experience, my  palms  were sweating and my heart was pumping as I walked down the runway, but as I  walked down the aisle my fears became unknown to me and all I can picture was people around me cheering and I began to smile and I couldn’t stop

I was finally at a point that I waited for my whole life. On July twenty six of two thousand eight was finally the moment of truth, this is where my dream would come true or where my dream would have to be put on hold, and someone else’s dream would come true. I was determined to win Teen Miss Mundo Latina USA. As I was getting ready my heart began to beat faster and faster, next thing I knew I was walking down the runway I began to smile and I couldn’t stop I knew I had a chance at winning with the support of god, my parents and my ambition I was unstoppable. The girls and I stood in line holding hands one next to another, and the crowd became silent, Mr. Sixto Nolasco finally announced Keliann Jimenez and my heart stopped, and my eyes began to water. Winning Teen Miss Mundo Latina USA was the most important experience of my life. I am honored and proud to be Teen Miss Mundo Latina USA 2008!
