The Bracelet "El Brazalete"

The Bracelet is a simple yet elegant symbol reminiscent of the MIA/POW bracelets worn during the 1960s and 1970s.

The original cuff style Bracelet, designed by Isabella Geddes Marquise da Filicaia and manufactured in Italy, is a 1/4-inch band with a raised AIDS ribbon on the side. Inside there is a small plaque. It comes in several metals and four sizes and is a beautiful symbol of awareness and remembrance.

Miss Mundo Latina also offer several other styles of The Bracelet, including Kerry MacBride's sterling with leather cords and our jelly bracelets, which are available in many bright colors.

A symbol which serves as a bridge uniting people to fight HIV/AIDS, The Bracelet is designed to increase awareness and to help people recognize that anyone—man, woman, or child— can be infected and that it is up to each of us to be compassionate, understanding, and responsible.

Through the sale of The Bracelet and the generous contributions of companies and individuals, we will be  able to continue to provide much needed funding in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Fifty Percent (50%) of the sale of every one of these bracelets will go directly to the fight against HIV/AIDS. If you want to help us continue our work, take advantage of any of the following ways to support our organization.

Our goal is to raise enough funds during this event an to fund prevention education, care services, and vaccine development using The Bracelet as the tool. The Bracelet will serve not only as a bridge to unite people to fight HIV/AIDS, but to help people to recognize that anyone—man, woman, or child—can be infected and that everyone should be compassionate, understanding, and responsible.
